Margaret Nyambayo

Co-Opted Governor

My first involvement with schools was at St Catherine Special School in Harare which my daughter previously attended.  I was part of the parent and teacher school committee where we developed a special curriculum to suit the individual learning needs of each student. When I moved into the local area, I started volunteering at Stocklake Park school to continue my passion for SEN and to familiarise myself with the education provided to young people with SEN.

As a Governor of the Vale Federation, my aim is to support every child and young adult with additional needs to achieve and flourish in their lives.

My child has now left the Vale Federation, but I am still keen to give back to the schools who have given so much to my child. Over the years I was incredibly impressed with the teaching and care my child received and also the progress she made over that time.
