Welcome to Safeguarding at The Vale Federation
All schools have a statutory duty to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
Safeguarding at The Vale Federation is everyone’s responsibility, and is our first priority in our work across both schools. Children and young people who come to our schools are especially vulnerable due to the nature of their learning and related communication difficulties. Hence, we have dedicated teams at both schools who oversee all aspects of children’s welfare, and support families alongside social care and health. We are committed to ensuring every child and young person across the federation is educated in a safe and supportive environment, and that we work as a united force with families and the wider community to ensure every individual is kept safe from harm. We ensure all staff are appropriately trained, and that those in the designated safeguarding lead team receive special and bespoke training to best oversee our safeguarding practices.
If you have concerns about a child within our schools you should share this information immediately. Below are the names of the Safeguarding Teams at our schools. If they are unavailable, please speak to the most senior member of staff available.
If you have safeguarding concerns about a staff member working with children within our schools, please speak to the Principal or Head of School .
